Nyamko Terms of Use (account-free version)
Account-free version, effective [EFFECTIVE DATE].
These terms apply between you and [OPERATOR NAME], [COUNTRY] ("we"). You accept them by ticking the consent box during the app's first-run setup. Questions: hello@nyamko.app.
1. What Nyamko is
Nyamko helps you introduce complementary foods to a child and plan a shared family menu: a meal plan, introduction of new foods and allergens, a reaction log, a shopping list, growth charts and reference articles.
This is an account-free version. It may change, may contain errors, may not work on every device, and may be discontinued. The core features are free; some additional ones are part of the Nyamko+ subscription (section 7).
2. Who can use it
The app is intended for adults (18 years or older) — parents or other adults who care for a child. By entering a child's data, you confirm that you are entitled to do so.
3. Not medical advice
Nyamko is an information tool. It does not diagnose, does not prescribe treatment and does not replace a consultation with a pediatrician, allergist or dietitian. You make decisions about your child's feeding together with a doctor, especially if the child was born prematurely or has an allergy, a chronic condition, swallowing difficulties or problems gaining weight.
In an emergency (difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or lips, choking, unusual drowsiness) call 103 or 112 immediately. See the Medical Disclaimer for more.
4. Sources and review of the content
The guidance and articles are based on publicly available recommendations from WHO, ESPGHAN, ASCIA, CDC/AAP, NHS, FSA, FDA/EPA, ERC and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and on the LEAP and EAT studies. Growth charts use the WHO Child Growth Standards.
The content of this account-free version has not yet been reviewed by a pediatric dietitian or pediatrician. Recommendations differ between countries and change over time, and general guidance does not take a particular child's needs into account.
5. Your data
Data is stored only on your device — see the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping access to your device. Since we hold no copies of your data, we cannot restore it after the app is uninstalled, its data is cleared or the device is lost.
6. Acceptable use
Use the app for personal and family purposes. Do not try to disrupt it, bypass its protections, or present its content as your own medical or commercial advice to other people.
7. Nyamko+ subscription
Nyamko's core features are free. Everything related to your child's safety (allergen and choking warnings, "How did it go?" and reactions, new-food pauses, the 103/112 screen, the plan, swaps, the shopping list, the reference and data deletion) is always free and never depends on a subscription.
Additional features (including a higher AI-helper question limit, a menu draft up to 8 weeks ahead and hints for the iron scale) are available with the paid Nyamko+ subscription. The current list, price and period length are shown in the app before purchase.
- Payment. The subscription is bought and paid through the App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm the purchase. The local price is set by the store.
- Free trial. If the store offers you a free trial, its length and the price after it are shown before purchase. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. A trial is offered once.
- Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancellation. You can cancel or change plans at any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. After cancelling, access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds are handled by the store under its own rules. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
- Price changes. The store will notify you in advance of a price increase; it does not apply to an active subscription without your consent where the store's rules require it.
- Purchase processing. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases. It receives your account identifier and purchase history, but no data about your child.
8. Rights in the app
The app, texts, illustrations and design belong to us or are used under licence (including open fonts under the SIL Open Font License). We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, free licence to use this account-free version.
9. Liability
This account-free version is provided "as is". We make efforts to keep the content accurate and safe, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, up to date or error-free, or that the app will work without interruption.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for loss of data on your device or for the consequences of decisions made solely on the basis of the app without consulting a doctor.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including for harm to life or health, or limits your consumer rights under the laws of your country.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, in particular when accounts, an AI assistant or a paid subscription are introduced. The new version will carry a new date; we will announce significant changes in advance in the app (once it supports this) or on the website. If you do not agree with the changes, you can stop using the app and delete your data.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [COUNTRY], unless mandatory rules of your country of residence provide otherwise.
